A team of astronomers and scientists used the Subaru Telescope of the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ) in Hawaii to make a very important discovery for us.

Not only is the discovery itself important, but more important is the proof of the capability of today's telescopes that they can discover various possible habitable exoplanets.

Astronomers have observed a super-Earth, called Ross 508 b at 36.5 light-years from Earth, with a mass 4 times that of our planet.

But it is not just any exoplanet.

Ross 508 b is an important discovery in the scientific world, as the Hawaiian telescope has proven that it can find exoplanets around relatively faint stars.

This means more chances of discovering exoplanets that can support life on them.

This newly discovered exoplanet is very close to the habitable zone of its system, and the radiation from the star Ross 508 that hits the exoplanet is only 1.4 times greater than that from the Sun to Earth.

But in any case, astronomers will be able to find out in the next transit period of the exoplanet whether it has an atmosphere or not.

So we still need to wait to this if the exoplanet is a good home for someone or not.
