Astronomers expect a possible meteor shower on the night of May 30-31, 2022, but this event is not certain.

They said, either there will be a spectacular meteor shower, very rare, or nothing will happen.

According to NASA data, comet 73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann or SW3 broke to pieces back in 1995, and the Earth will pass through its remnants in the night from May 30 to May 31 this year.

However, astronomers call this meteor shower "possible" because to be able to see it, the remaining pieces of the comet need to move twice as fast as normal speed. This may be true, according to observations from 2009 of the Spitzer Telescope. The images taken by it can be seen above.

NASA suggests that if this meteor shower happens, the peak time for astronomical observers will be 1:00 a.m. on the east coast and around 10:00 a.m. on the west coast (USA).
