NASA has captured a medium-sized solar flare

24/01/2022

On January 20, 2022, the sun emitted a medium-sized solar flare, which was captured by NASA. The space agency has caught this eruption with the Solar Dynamics Observatory, the observatory is constantly monitoring the Sun. The eruption peaked on January 20, 2022 at 1:01 a.m. EAST. Such eruptions occur relatively often.

Every month there are such solar flares, which can have a negative effect on the Earth. For example, if it is a large solar flare, it can "reach" the Earth and affect radio communications, electrical networks, navigation signals, and more. Such solar flares can also affect the ISS (International Space Station), including disrupting communications between the station and NASA.

However, this flare was classified by M5.5 class scientists as being of a medium level. A past solar flare (with more information): https://www.bailey-universe.com/l/breaking-news-a-solar-storm-will-hit-the-earth-before-christmas-nasa-said/
