Australian researchers have detected a space object that behaves like "no other known celestial body". Specifically, they detected a rotating body that emits "impossible" strong waves of energy at fixed intervals," "like clockwork", and which they said they had never seen anything like it before. The object pulses with energy "every 18.18 seconds with the regularity of a clock," according to astrophysicist Natasha Hurley-Walker, the leader of the research team.

This celestial body is very strange according to researchers. Besides pulsing with energy at a certain fixed time interval, it also disappeared and reappeared during the observations, not knowing the cause. "This object was appearing and disappearing over a few hours during our observations. That was completely unexpected," lead study author Natasha Hurley-Walker said. "It simply came to our notice then. It's pretty sinister for an astronomer," said Walker, "because we don't know anything like that in space." continue Walker. According to the team, the mysterious object could be a white dwarf, but there are many possibilities, such as a supernova, big neutron star, pulsar, etc.

The discovery of this rather strange celestial object was made possible by a radio telescope in Australia. It is the Murchison Widefield Array telescope, mounted in the desert of Western Australia that can observe such phenomena, in any case, even such strange phenomena could not be observed so far.

A lot of data is not known about this celestial body since it is difficult to study, and astronomers have not had anything to do with it so far. But, approx. according to researchers, the mysterious object is about 4,000 light-years away and has an extremely strong magnetic field. "It's in our galactic yard," Walker said.

How did astronomers discover such an object that is so far away?

Well, first of all, if it is 4,000 light-years away from us, then astronomers see this object in the past. If it is seen from the ground with a telescope, then everything we see now is from the past. But in any case, this strange celestial body was detected by astronomers because it was the brightest source of observable radio waves from Earth and functioned as a "space beacon".

"If you do all the calculations, you realize that there shouldn't be enough energy to produce such radio waves every 20 minutes," Walker said. "It simply shouldn't be possible." "I was afraid they were aliens," Walker said. However, the signal was observed on several frequencies, which, according to Walker, means that it is a "natural process and not an artificial signal".

Yes, that's what astronomers thought at first. They thought that are aliens, but they are not aliens, is simply a very strange creature of the Universe. However, we hope to find out more about this unusual body in the coming months.
