A video posted on YouTube presents our planet in a series of video recordings, filmed from the International Space Station. All the images were filmed in one night, and then they were put into a 60-second clip.

The video begins above the Pacific Ocean, continuing with North America, South America, and reaching Antarctica, with the sunrise.

Among the cities, countries, or landscapes that appear in the video are, in order: Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Texas, the Gulf of Mexico, the Yucatan peninsula, Guatemala, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, and the Amazon River.

One of the impressive elements in this video is the ionosphere - the thin yellow line that surrounds the planet - but also the lightning over the Pacific Ocean. You can also see a few stars in our galaxy.
