China's National Space Administration (NAC) released on June 29 probably the most stunning images of Mars this year.

The Tianwen-1 Mars spacecraft sent spectacular images of the red planet's surface, including the top view of the Valles Marineris canyon over 4,000 kilometers long.

Images showing other regions of Mars, including Arabia Terra, a mountainous region in the north of the planet, have also been published.

According to CGTN, the unmanned Tianwen-1 that was launched on July 23, 2020, photographed the Red Planet "in its entirety over 1,300 orbits."
