News! This month marks 7 years since the CBERS-4 satellite began its mission into space. The CBERS-4 satellite belonging to the Brazilian space agency was launched 7 years ago on December 7, 2021, and began its mission around December 12, 2021 (the mission, referring to the fact that it began to carry out its mission with which has been sent). This mission is due to a space partnership that was signed between Brazil and China in 1988.

The satellite not only gave a lot of images and information from space but also exceeded all expectations! It has been estimated that the satellite will be able to be in orbit for approx. 3 years and now it's over 7 years old! This satellite is a satellite of the CBERS (China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellite) program, as its name and the one responsible for it is the National Space Research Institute (INPE). And this unit belongs to a unit of the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MCTI).

According to the Brazilian space agency, this satellite, together with CBERS-04A (launched in December 2019) has brought great benefits to African and Southeast Asian nations. INPE / MCTI transmitted a lot of images that could be transmitted to government agents, institutions, educational institutions, and many others. Also, thanks to the Brazilian space agency, you can find all the data that the satellite took here: https://www.cbers.inpe.br/, free of charge.

We wish continued success to the Brazilian space agency and the Chinese space agency!
