We have the first satellite images of the war taking place in Ukraine. See them here

The images you see in this article are from a Planet satellite (formerly Planet Labs), which operates over 200 artificial satellites in Earth orbit. There are still only a few space images from these company satellites, which mostly show Mykolaiv Airbase and the Chuhuiv Airbase (wich are in Ukraine).
In the image above you can see Chuhuiv Airbase as it looks now. In addition, below you can compare the images captured just a few days before the attack, on February 21, 2022 and just below it, the gloomy image of February 24, 2022.

You can make another comparison below, between the image taken on February 21, 2022, and the image from yesterday, February 24, 2022.
But everything we see in these images was made from space, and if you see an image where everything is quiet, and then an image where an explosion has just taken place, it seems terrifying, then the images on Earth are a nightmare.

Also, Planet wrote a tweet:
Sad to see the tragic and deteriorating events in Ukraine. We have and will continue to provide imagery from the region to our partners, aid, relief and human rights organizations, and the media to expose the situation as events unfold. Our thoughts are with the people of 🇺🇦

We do not yet have details on the US-Russia collaboration activity in space, referring especially to the ISS (International Space Station), but if we have details we will let you know as soon as possible.
The United States and the European Union have just prepared a set of sanctions for Russia, announced yesterday and according to official data, they are also preparing a second set of sanctions.
We hope that the images we see now will remain a memory as soon as possible, and we hope that Russia will make peace with Ukraine.
