The most powerful telescope is going to take the first super high-quality images of the Andromeda galaxy this week.

Until then, however, the telescope sent some images taken most likely to check its calibration.

New images of the star HD167060 sent by the telescope to scientists today show that Webb is capable of its scientific mission (again).

Some people reacted last week saying that the damage caused by a micrometeorite to one of Webb's mirrors will affect the quality of the images from now on.

In any case, this did not happen. But, let's wait for the first images taken by Webb on the Andromeda galaxy, to truly confirm this.

The damage caused to one of the telescope's mirrors will remain permanent, as NASA said, but most likely will not affect the quality of the images.
